Reliability and validity verification

Reliability

Reliability is the extent to which a test is repeatable and yields consistent scores. It is one of, but not the only one of the preconditions of test validity.

Any measurement has the potential for error and the aim is to minimise it. Oxford Score uses the Alternate forms of reliability testing where the same group is used to take two different tests from the same large question pool and the correlation between the two scores is computed as the estimate of the test reliability.

Validity

Validity is the extent to which a test measures what it is supposed to measure.

Reliability is a prerequisite for validity, but other evidence must be considered which shows a good correlation between test results and the success in a job requiring particular knowledge, skills and ability. We collect evidence of validity in cooperation with our clients.

Anti-discrimination measures

Different countries have different laws against bias in questions with respect to gender, ethnicity, age etc. KSA tests dealing with IT topics are much less prone to exhibit discriminatory behaviour, but we collect and analyze data which we can use to assist our clients with result interpretation.
